Ceramic heater glass
Also known as: Vitroceram, Robax, Neoceram, Borosilicate, Borofloat, Pyrex, Heat proof glass, Heat resistant glass
What is Borosilicate glass?

The borosilicate glass suited for gas and fuel oil heaters. This because of its chemical inertness and low expansion coefficient. It is also resistant to the sulfate that is released during the combustion of gas and fuel oil. This feature prevents formation of stain on the glass. The temperature must not exceed 350 ° C.

What is Vitroceram / Robax glass?

The ceramic vitroceram / Robax glass exceeds the borosilicate in terms of thermal resistance. The expansion factor is almost zero up to 800 ° C so the thermal shock resistance is great. This glass is mainly used for furnaces since 90 % of the radiation is converted in infrared rays. The permanent operating temperature is 740° C. This type of glass can also be immersed in water of 0° C without the risk of breakage.
